I’ve let the last month slip by. June was a crazy month.
I worked my first conference for the company I now work for. Celebrated two years of marriage, Father’s Day, my husband’s 25th birthday. We started painting the inside of our house (Blazen Orange was our first project and I’m super happy with it!). Lastly, we were invited to a new neighbors housewarming party, which was a great opportunity for us to meet our neighbors as well!
Now that July is here, I’m feeling particularly motivated to set some summer challenges for myself. Some might stick, others might only last for this season, but I’m determined to give a few of these things a go!
2013 Summer Challenge
Continue reading (and definitely finish) Does Jesus Really Love Me? A Gay Christian’s Pilgrimage in Search of God in America by Jeff Chu. Still have so many questions, but hopefully this is just the first step in examining homosexuality and Christianity, and forming my own opinions on how this relates to my personal beliefs and how my life should reflect those beliefs.
Clean up the garden and add some whimsical touches. I’ll have more goals for my garden, which is looking to be quite a big project to manage, but for now I’ll stick with an easy task!
Finish painting the interior walls, decorate and host a housewarming party!
Do something that’s outside of my comfort zone (I have a feeling this one is going to happen sooner than I’d like! Details to come…).
Be a little ambitious at work. Contribute a “new” idea to office management and see if they take to it.
And of course, continue being the best auntie ever to my lovable, beautiful, healthy niece! She is such a cutie pie!
That’s it! I think I’ve got my work cut out for me, but I’m ready to get this summer challenge started! Wish me luck.
